Standards verification
As per the key dates above, the first sampling deadline for Standards Verification is 15 May 2025. By this date, you will need to send the requested sample to your Standards Verifier with all the paper work required. This is done on Learner Work Transfer.

Earlier release of Pearson Set Assignments (PSAs) for Component 2 and 3
We've heard your feedback and are excited to announce a key improvement to the release schedule for the BTEC Tech Award Pearson Set Assignments (PSAs) used for internally assessed components. PSAs will now be available three months earlier, giving you more time to plan, prepare, mark, and upload assessments.*
New PSA Release Dates:
- 2 June 2025 – PSA for the December/January 2025/26 assessment series
- 1 September 2025 - PSA for the May/June 2026 assessment series.

The Teacher Guide and unit guides complements your Pearson Level 3 Alternative Academic Qualification BTEC National in Construction and the Built Environment (Extended Certificate) specification, Pearson Set Assignment Briefs (PSABs), Sample Assessment Materials (SAMs) and the Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Alternative Academic Qualification Suplementary Guide. This Planning and Teaching Guide provides:
- an overview of dates and deadlines for key events and activities relevant to qualification delivery – from registration to assessment and review of marking – throughout the academic year
- suggestions for planning and delivering your course including induction and unit sequencing
- creative and realistic teaching and learning ideas as well as links to resources for each unit to support and inspire you in creating a dynamic learning environment to keep your learners engaged and motivated to learn.

Sample resources for BTEC Nationals in Construction and the Built Environment (AAQ)
Our published resources to support the new BTEC Nationals 2025 are being carefully developed to help you deliver engaging teaching, and to prepare your students for assessment.
We’re designing the resources as fully integrated packages, with all resources complementing and building on the others. You will be able use them in various ways, to suit your teaching style, and when used together they’ll provide the biggest time saving and teaching support benefits.
The main teaching resources will be published in April and May 2025, in good time for first teaching in September 2025.

Examiner role
The T Level Examiner role is an excellent opportunity to earn some extra money in a part-time role, alongside any full-time commitments you may have, whilst also developing your career in education.
T-Level Examiners mark candidate responses in accordance with a pre-defined mark scheme, whilst adhering to the Code of Practice and published examination procedures.
Responsibilities
- To mark accurately and consistently to ensure overall standards are maintained.
- To submit samples to your Team Leader at designated times.
- To ensure milestones for marking are adhered to.
- To ensure all administration is completed as specified.
- To attend standardisation in May 2021.
- To regularly mark scripts during the summer series from May to June.
