The January 2023 update from your subject advisor
Welcome back after the holidays. Good luck to all learners taking exams this month.
Results dates
BTEC Nationals and Firsts results will be issued to centres on 22/03/23. They can be released to learners on 23/03/23.
BTEC Tech Award results will be released to centres on 05/04/23 and can be released to learners on 06/04/23
BTEC Tech Award in Child Development
The Pearson Set Assignment (PSA) will be released on 6 February 2023.
This needs to be completed and marked so all the marks and the sample can be uploaded to Edexcel online by 1 May 2023.
The PSA can be downloaded from the website, you will need an Edexcel online password.
There are still training dates available for the Marking and Moderation training, this is a really useful session that will help you with marking the PSA and using the best fit approach.

You can purchase paid for resources for the BTEC Tech Award in Child Development. There is a hard copy of the text book and a digital copy.
BTEC National Children's Play, Learning and Development, Diploma and Extended Diploma (EYE)
A reminder of the update made to the minimum number of placement hours for EYE learners. Please read the document below.
After COVID it was recognised that the number of hours that learners need to complete their skills and competencies could be reduced.
It is recommended that learners complete 750 hours but they can complete a minimum of 300 hours if they complete their skills and competencies.
