If you're currently delivering Generation 1 T Levels in Construction and/or Digital, and therefore moving to the Generation 2 specifications in September 2025, there will be a period of parallel running, either with the delivery of two specifications with the same awarding organisation or working with two different awarding organisations.
See the Generation 2 section of our FAQs for more information
As the exam season approaches, make sure you’re familiar with Ofqual’s guidance on resilience in the qualifications system in the unlikely event that exams should not go ahead.
It asks that schools and colleges ensure students sit mock exams in exam conditions before their formal exams, and that their papers are retained. One set of mocks for this purpose should be enough. By doing this, schools and colleges will be sure they have alternative evidence of student performance to enable alternative methods of awarding grades, should they be needed.
You can download the T Level fees for 2025–26 from our training and admin support page. We'll publish the fees for Generation 2 Digital TQs once the qualifications have been approved by IfATE.
The Generation 2 specification for teaching from September 2025 is now available.

A new occupational specialism (OS) relating to Construction Project Management will be available for new students, with the first assessments now planned from 2027. This means students registering in September 2025 should be able to transfer over to the new specialism in their second year. The specification for the new OS won’t be published until later this year, however you can have early sight on request and/or by contributing to our provider panel.
If you’re moving from BTEC Nationals in Construction to the T Level, use our transition guide to help you map BTEC National units to the core content areas. You can find the guide on the course materials page.
Pearson has been working with the Gatsby Foundation to provide high quality teaching resources for several topics in the Core: Law, Maths and Modern Methods of Construction. Keep an eye on the Gatsby Technical Education Networks website.

The summer series employer set project is now available to download from our website. Before you download it, make sure you also have the latest version of the administrative support guide, which we updated recently with further clarification around some of the tasks.

You can also download updated key dates schedules for both Craft and Design and Media Broadcast and Production with some amended assessment windows for the occupational specialism assessments. In most cases, the new dates have spread the windows out to help delivery and give more contingency time during the window for potential absences or unforeseen delays. There are updated 2024-2026 schedules, as well as updated 2025-2027 schedules, so ensure you have the new versions of each.

We recently contacted all Craft and Design providers about some minor amendments to the employer set project specimen and additional specimen materials, which are also reflected in the live employer set project. We held a live online event to run through these changes, but if you missed it, please get in touch and we’ll be happy to answer any questions you have.

To help you and your students prepare, we’ve released new sets of guide standard exemplification materials for Ceramics Maker and Furniture Maker in Craft and Design, and Events and Venues Technician in Media Broadcast and Production. We also released additional specimen assessment materials for the core exam and employer set project last month, so you now have two sets of specimen assessments available to download. You can find all of these support materials and more on the course materials page.

Improvements to the occupational specialism
We’ve made some changes to the T Level Finance occupational specialisms to help make assessment clearer and more efficient.
We will no longer be providing pre-release materials. This change is designed to streamline your preparation process, ensuring all necessary information is included within the main assessment documents.
Tasks that were previously split into separate documents (e.g., Task A and Task B) will now be combined into a single task booklet. This adjustment aims to simplify the administration and handling of assessment materials.
We’ve uploaded updated administrative support guides to reflect these changes, and these are available to download from our course materials page, along with curriculum planners.
