Help Shape the Future of Pearson international English Qualifications!
We’re inviting educators to take part in research that will help shape a brand-new International English qualification designed for post-16 learners. Your experience and insights will play a key role in creating something that truly supports teachers and learners at International AS Level.

About General English
A General English qualification builds strong, practical language skills for real world success. It focuses on key language skills in everyday and academic contexts, rather than literary study. The aim is to help learners communicate confidently, think critically and prepare for further study or work.

What participation looks like
Taking part is easy. We’ll set up a short call on Microsoft Teams to hear your thoughts and experiences teaching English at International GCSE and/or post-16 level. We’ll talk about what works well, where the challenges are, and what would help your learners thrive.

If you would like to take part, please complete the short form by February 2026.

From the June 2026 series, we’ll be asking you to submit a slightly larger sample for moderation for International GCSE, A level and Entry Level Certificate qualifications.

This change is designed to make moderation smoother and reduce the need for additional sample requests later in the year.
