Employer’s guide to Apprenticeships
Costs and contacts
Here you'll find details of the costs of hiring an apprentice and who to contact to find the best solution for your needs.
The apprentice will need to be paid a wage, like any other employee. The current National Minimum Wage for apprentices of any age is £4.81 an hour, which is £192.40 for a 40 hour week.
Many employers go beyond the minimum requirements as they recognise the benefits an apprentice brings to the business and assists in staff retention.
