Speaking Windows for International Languages Qualifications - November 2023 and January 2024
In order to best meet the needs of students requiring International GCSE exam opportunities outside of the full May/June series, we have introduced a regular International GCSE November series, first running in November 2023.
November 2023 speaking window
The speaking window for language qualifications in the November 2023 exam series is Monday 2 October to Friday 3 November 2023.
This window applies to International GCSE French, Chinese and English as a Second Language only.
International GCSE Arabic and Bangla do not feature a speaking component.
For more information on the qualifications available in November 2023 series, please refer to the following document:
January 2024 speaking window
The speaking window for language qualifications in the January 2024 exam series is Monday 6 November to Friday 15 December 2023.
This window applies to International A Level French, German, and Spanish only. These qualifications are only available in international centres.
International A level Arabic qualification does not feature a speaking component.
Please note that International GCSEs are no longer offered in the January exam series, read the notice:
Submitting speaking assessments
All speaking recordings should be submitted via our online Learner Work Transfer (LWT) platform within 2 working days of completing the oral examinations for that language qualification in your centre.
If completing your speaking assessments on a Friday, for example, you would therefore need to submit them via LWT by the end of the following Tuesday.
This enables us to ensure that assessments are allocated to our examiners throughout the window and avoids the marking of speaking assessments impacting on the marking of other language qualification components.
