Classroom Picture
1) Update to information on qualification pathway requirements
2) Aerospace Engineering change in qualification structure. New instructions: Learners to complete five mandatory units, and at least six optional units in the Diploma size. For the Extended Diploma, learners must complete five mandatory units and at least 12 optional units.
New Robotic Engineering pathway in Diploma and Extended Diploma qualification sizes.

3) Units added to the general Award/ Certificate/ Diploma/ Extended Diploma Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Technical Knowledge) sizes:

  • Unit 33: Further Electrical Principles
  • Unit 55: Further Mechanical Principles and Applications
  • Unit 58: Aircraft Flight Principles and Practice
  • Unit 101: Aircraft First Line Maintenance Operations
  • Unit 117: Battery Manufacturing
  • Unit 120: E-mobility
4) Unit added to the Mechanical Engineering pathway:
  • Unit 13: Computer-aided Drafting in Engineering

5) Units added to the Motorsports Engineering pathway:

  • Unit 118: Electric and Hybrid Vehicle Motors
  • Unit 119: Electric Vehicle Drives
6) Amendment of Aerospace Engineering pathway mandatory units: Learners complete two units: Unit 8 OR Unit 56, and Unit 58 OR Unit 98.

7) Units added to the Aerospace Engineering pathway for Diploma and Extended Diploma qualifications:

  • Unit 19: Selecting and Using Programmable Controllers
  • Unit 24: Principles and Applications of Electronic Devices and Circuits
  • Unit 33: Further Electrical Principles
  • Unit 55: Further Mechanical Principles and Applications
  • Unit 61: Aircraft Electrical and Instrument Systems
  • Unit 75: Microprocessor Systems and Applications
  • Unit 76: Principles and Applications of Microcontrollers
  • Unit 111: Cyber Security and Engineering
