International Advanced Levels Psychology (2015)

March 2024 Psychology subject update
Welcome to your Pearson Edexcel Psychology March 2024 subject update.
Hello colleagues,
I hope you are well and that you find the time for some rest and relaxation shortly, despite the pressures of this time of year!
Thank you to those teachers who responded to last month's survey requesting ideas for our next UK A Level psychology specification. If you haven't yet responded to it, the link is in this update too, along with some information about AI and how we are considering its potential to support teachers with marking and feedback - there's a survey to gather your thoughts on this here too. We would welcome feedback on this from GCSE and IAL teachers too.
As usual you can find updates relating to each course in their sections below.
Best wishes,
Tim Lawrence

This update includes:
- Examiner vacancies: opportunities for GCSE, A Level and IAL psychology.
- AI update: information from the JCQ on students' use of AI, and an update on our work investigating the possibility of AI-assisted marking in the future.
- The BPS teachers' toolkit: free classroom resources.
- AS and A Level: share your ideas for a new specification, examWizard support and a free Tutor2u revision planner.
- GCSE: exam feedback training resources and examWizard support.
- International A Level: news of upcoming pre-recorded exam feedback training.

The JCQ update below is not directly relevant to the assessment of Edexcel psychology qualifications as we do not have any NEA / assessed coursework, however you may be interested in the updated guidance given the increasing use of AI by students in a range of contexts. Below this you can read about how we are investigating the future use of AI to assist teachers with marking.
