March 2016 work-based learning and colleges update: Transport and Logistics sector
This month's Transport and Logistics sector update is about the new Traineeship bundles that DfE has approved, the Pearson BTEC Level 2 Extended Certificate in Principles of Working in Warehousing and Storage (QCF) and the withdrawal of the Pearson Edexcel Level 2 Diploma in Aviation Ground Security (QCF).
Pearson BTEC Level 2 Extended Certificate in Principles of Working in Warehousing and Storage (QCF)
The Department for Education has approved the Pearson BTEC Level 2 Extended Certificate in Principles of Working in Warehousing and Storage (QCF) to be included as a Technical Certificate for the 2018 Performance Tables.
Traineeship bundles for the Logistics sector
Look out for the new Traineeship bundles for the Logistics sector. These include:
- Driving in Logistics Traineeship
- Warehousing and Storage Traineeship.

Withdrawal of Pearson Edexcel Level 2 Diploma in Aviation Ground Security (QCF)
The Pearson Edexcel Level 2 Diploma in Aviation Ground Security (QCF) 600/1914/1 will be withdrawn from 31 March 2016.
Please ensure you register any learners you have before this date.
The certificate end date of the qualification is 31 March 2017.
