Pearson Edexcel Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social (Adults) for England (501/1607/1)

A few centres have contacted us concerned that version 6 of the specification states that 50 credits of the total 58 credits required must be at level 3 or above.

The amendments made to version 6 of the specification were:

  • Level 3 - Units that were removed from Group P1E are the same units that make up Group P1D
  • Level 3 - Units that were removed from Group P2E are the same units that make up Group P2D.

The minimum credit value was displayed on the Register of Regulated Qualifications.

During the amendments to the unit structure we became aware that information about minimum credit value was not entirely clear to centres. However, this minimum credit requirement has not changed.

We apologise if this has caused some confusion for a small number of centres.

The following qualifications are no longer available for funding or registration in Wales only:

  • 501/1257/0 Pearson BTEC Level 2 Award in Awareness of Dementia
  • 600/2998/5 Pearson BTEC Level 3 Award in Awareness of Dementia.
