This month’s update includes new business skills sample onscreen assessment materials and our free resources website launching in January 2015.
Business skills sample onscreen assessment materials
Sample onscreen assessment materials for the new suite of business skills qualifications launched on 1 September 2014 are now available.
The materials are available via a sample test player, which replicates the look and feel of the Pearson Onscreen Platform (POP).
Via the sample test player, centres and learners can access:
- A functionality sample test to demonstrate item type functionality, so centres and learners can familiarise themselves with the item types that they may find in a test for a vocational specialist qualification.
- Sample assessment materials for:
Pearson BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Customer Service (601/3424/0)
Pearson BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Customer Service (601/3478/1).
Pearson BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Business Administration (601/3405/7)
Pearson BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Business Administration (601/3406/9)
Pearson BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Team Leading (601/3430/6)
Pearson BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Management (601/3396/X).
The sample assessment materials allow centres and learners to familiarise themselves with the types of questions that they may find in a test. Items within the sample assessment materials are illustrative examples only, based on tested units from within the level 2 and level 3 business skills qualifications. No results or answers will be provided.

Exclusive, free resources to support your BTEC Apprenticeships in business skills
Just a reminder that to coincide with the launch of our new business skills qualifications, from January 2015 we will be launching a brand new, free resources website. Also, as part of the registration process onto a BTEC Apprenticeship in Business Administration, Customer Service or Team Leading, Management and Leadership, you will receive a full colour, printed assessment guide and planner.
The resources for Customer Service Level 2 and Management Level 3 will be launched first and are due in early January, if not earlier. The resources for Team Leading and Business Administration Level 2 will follow in February and the last release will be in March.
