Final exam timetables for the summer 2026 exam series have now been published on our website along with those for International A Level exams in January 2026.
Now that the exam series has come to an end for psychology we would like you to share your feedback on this year's papers. We wish to provide students with the best possible exam experience, and your insights are crucial in helping us achieve this goal. If you're a teacher whose students have taken any of our exams in the May/June 2025 series, we are eager to hear your thoughts.
Your feedback will play a vital role in shaping the future of our qualifications and assessments. Your input will be shared with our senior examiners and across our subject teams to help us continuously improve future assessments and enhance the exam experience for students. We really appreciate your participation in this process, thank you. Please take a few minutes to complete this survey.
We have very recently launched an official Pearson Edexcel Psychology teachers' Facebook group. These have been rolled-out for most of our subjects now, and have proven to be a popular way to ask questions of the Subject Advisor, as well as to share ideas and expertise.
At the time of writing we are heading rapidly towards the 100 member milestone - please do consider joining!
We have two free, live online training events coming up in June and July:
Maths/Statistics for A Level Psychology - 17 June 2025 at 16:00-17:30 BST
GCSE Psychology for Non-Specialist Teachers - 03 July 2025 at 16:00-17:30 BST
See the link below for more details of these events and to book onto them, and to view pre-recorded training including 'new to Edexcel' training for GCSE and A Level psychology and marking training for GCSE teachers.
Another great event coming up in the summer is the Association for the Teaching of Psychology (ATP) conference at the University of Warwick on the 11th-12th July. I will be there delivering a workshop on embedding maths skills and research methods in GCSE and A Level psychology teaching, so hope to see some of you! Bookings close on the 1st July - see link below for more information.
Last month we shared the first set of three free 'Supplemenatary Topic Support' resources for A Level psychology. Three more have now been added, with links to the following specification points:
• The impact of Alzheimer's on older people and the effects on their memory.
• Therapies for helping children with autism.
• Effects on development of developmental disorders, including autism.
We have selected articles from the British Psychological Society's excellent Research Digest blog, which summarises recent research in a style and format well suited to A Level students. These are accompanied by example exam questions which the contents of the articles could be used to address, along with exemplar answers with examiner commentaries.
In addition we are producing a number of free 'Maths in Psychology' classroom resources and the first three are available to download now.
We plan to produce versions of these for International A Level but this will take some time - as they stand many of these are relevant to the IAL specification so international teachers may be interested to take a look.
