We are continuing to develop material to help support you in delivering the new specifications for AS level and A level Music. Over the past month we have now added even more material including performing exemplars with commentary, resource booklets for the SAMs to include the skeleton and extract scores, model answers for the AS SAM question 6 and a version of the difficulty level booklet that you can sort and filter.

Hard copies of the composing briefs will be sent to centres in the New Year in January and February. This is based on the number of estimated entries made by your centre. Hard copies of the Technical Study briefs for unit 5 will be sent to your centre for distribution to candidates from 1 April to be completed in the three hours of controlled assessment time. The number sent to each centre will be based on the number of actual entries made in February.

Music Technology

The new specification for first teaching in September 2017 continues to have material developed to support you in preparing for delivery. There are now course planners, schemes of work, a Getting Started Guide and mapping documents.
