BTEC Nationals in Music and Music Technology: September 2021 update

2021 - 2022 Academic year

Following the recent Ofqual consultation, awarding bodies have received confirmation that Ofqual will withdraw designation of Category B from 1 September 2021. This means that for the 2021/2022 academic year teacher-assessed grades will not be available.

We are working with Ofqual and DfE to confirm adaptation arrangements for our other BTEC suites and will confirm these as soon as possible. Until we are able to do this, we’d encourage you to plan for assessment, and to prioritise the delivery and assessment of mandatory units.
