BTEC Tech Award in Music Practice
We are continuing to make more resources available for you to help deliver the new specification. Available online now are OSCA materials and Sample Marked Learner Work. This covers component 1 and 2.
BTEC Firsts in Music
The BTEC First Award in Music has had the final registration deadline extended to 31 December 2021 and final certification extended to 31 December 2023. It is also included on KS4 performance measures in England for 2021 and 2022.
Due to the merger of PRS and PPL we have had some queries around acceptable answers in response to questions on licensing in the unit 1 exam. We will continue accepting PRS for Music, PRS, MCPS, PPL and PPL PRS in response to music licensing questions for a transition period (at least 12 months grace period) for The Music Industry exam but from next January we would expect them to be at least familiar with the term and organisation PPL PRS (with or without the Ltd).
