GCSE (9-1) Biblical Hebrew: Paper 2 set text changes
We're pleased to let you know that Ofqual has approved the new Paper 2 (Literature) set texts for GCSE Biblical Hebrew for assessment from summer 2029 to summer 2031.
We will be updating the specification to reflect these changes, but we're sharing them now so you can plan future teaching as early as possible, particularly if you are planning a three-year Key Stage 4 curriculum.
Set text 1: I Samuel – The beginning of the monarchy: Saul's reign
Chapters 8, 9, 10, 11 and 13 (114 verses)
Set text 2: II Kings – Hezekiah and Manasseh
Chapters 18, 19 (excluding verses 21–31), 20, 21, 22 and 23 (verses 1–3 only) (131 verses)
