This update contains important information about the appeals process in Summer 2021.
Ofqual and the JCQ recently published some guidance on appeals in Summer 2021. These are important documents that outline the processes that will be in place for this summer’s appeals process.

The appeals window will open on the 10 August for A level and 12 August for GCSE / International GCSE as shown in our timeline:
Centres can submit non-priority appeals to awarding organisations from results day to 17 September 2021.
Priority appeals can be submitted by centres to awarding organisations from 10 August to 23 August 2021.
A priority appeal is only for students applying to higher education who did not attain their firm choice (i.e. the offer they accepted as their first choice) and wish to appeal an A level or other Level 3 qualification result).
