SASE Apprenticeship Frameworks
It has been announced that the Health (Pathology Support) and Health (Informatics) SASE Apprenticeships will be withdrawn and will no longer be available for registrations from 1 December 2016.

SASE Apprenticeship Consultation
Skills Funding Agency are consulting on a number of SASE Apprenticeships which have been identified as potentially being withdrawn for new starts from 1 April 2017.
The following health frameworks are included in the consultation:
- Health (Allied Health Profession Support)
- Health (Assistant Practitioner)
- Health (Clinical Healthcare Support) – Intermediate and Advanced Apprenticeship
- Health (Dental Nursing)
- Health (Emergency Care)
- Health (Maternity and Paediatric Support)
- Health (Perioperative Support)
Review of Health and Adult Care Qualifications Consultation
Skills for Health and Skills for Care are pleased to announce that the online consultation for the review of the health and adult care qualifications is open.
In summary they proposing that at Level 2, there will be an integrated Diploma qualification in care which will replace the L2 Diploma in Health and Social Care and the L2 Diploma in Clinical Healthcare Support. There will be no barrier to entering either the adult care or health workforces.
At Level 3 they are proposing sector specific Diploma qualifications in health and a Diploma qualification in adult care. These will all have, at their heart, shared core competences with optional specialisms to meet the requirements of health and adult care services.

Healthcare Science Standards Verifiers
Pearson are recruiting Standards Verifiers for the new Healthcare Science Apprenticeship qualification.
You will have to meet the following requirements:
Evidence of sufficient and relevant Healthcare Science industry experience, equating to a minimum of 3 years, in specialisms, such as:
- Life Sciences
- Physiological Sciences
- Clinical Bioinformatics
- Physical Sciences and Biomedical Engineering
- Experience in delivering and/or assessing competence-based qualifications or non-accredited programmes
You do not need to be a qualified Assessor or Internal Verifier to apply for this role.
