July 2016 Health Social Care Update
This is a general update for the Health & Social Care sector for July 2016 and includes an update on the new apprenticeship standards and specification amendments.
Consultation for the review of the Health & Social Care qualification - take part!
Skills for Health and Skills for Care are pleased to announce that the online consultation for the review of the health and adult care qualifications is open.
In summary they proposing that at Level 2, there will be an integrated Diploma qualification in care which will replace the L2 Diploma in Health and Social Care and the L2 Diploma in Clinical Healthcare Support. There will be no barrier to entering either the adult care or health workforces.
At Level 3 they are proposing sector specific Diploma qualifications in health and a Diploma qualification in adult care. These will all have, at their heart, shared core competences with optional specialisms to meet the requirements of health and adult care services.

We are currently recruiting for Standards Verifiers in Health and Social Care Levels 1-5 to Undertake sampling of assessment and internal verification decisions and records for QCF competence-based qualifications within a Principal Subject Area (PSA) in order to affirm that national occupational standards has been achieved and upheld.
Applicants must have significant experience of delivering and assessing NVQs and competence qualifications at level 1-5, hold D32/D33 or A1 qualifications, and hold/be working towards the V1 or the Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice."
