FAQs

I’ve realised that I’ve done the wrong controlled assessment task with my students. What should I do?

You will need to carry out the correct task with your students. If you feel that there are exceptional circumstances that prevent you from doing so, please contact the assessment team by emailing emenglish@pearson.com.

Ordering paper copies of 5EH01 print texts for 2015 and 2016 and poetry anthologies for GCSE English and GCSE English literature

You can order hard copies of the print texts and anthologies from The Stationery Box. Log in with your centre number and post code. Choose 'stationery' from the blue stripe across the top. From the list, order the number of 5EH01 texts for the correct year or anthologies that you need. Please note that, in each case, the two themes for a year are packed together, so you do not need to order, for example, 'Pets' or 'UK Attractions'.

Estimated delivery times:

GCSE anthologies or 5EH01 texts for 2015: approximately 1 week from ordering 5EH01 texts for 2016: from 14.7.14

Which specification should I be using?

For students certificating in summer 2015 or 2016, and November 2014, 2015 and 2016 (retakes only for GCSE English and GCSE English Language), the following specifications should be used:

GCSE English
GCSE English Language
GCSE English Literature

Training

We will announce training courses for autumn 2014 later in the summer. You can access the presentations and other materials from this year's events under the search filter 'Past training content' on each qualification's page. You can search for training events on our Training page.

I hope you find this useful.

Best wishes,

Clare
