V&A Innovate is an annual National Schools Challenge, asking students in years 7, 8 and 9 to work in teams of 4 – 6 to design a solution to a real-world problem.
Deadline for entry is 10 January 2025.

By 15 May 2025, you must submit your NEA samples and marks to us for Summer 2025 certification. Please note that your Exams Officer may have their own internal deadlines and you also need to take into account the requirement to inform students of their centre assessed marks.
NEA samples should be submitted digitally, using the Learner Work Transfer (LWT) portal and marks should be submitted on Edexcel Online. You can find further guidance on how to use these systems through the Aministrative Support Guide below:
This free, face-to-face training event in London is for Pearson Edexcel GCSE Design and Technology teachers and is designed to help centres ensure they meet the required standards.

Insight events and NEA support event recordings and slides for both GCSE and A level D&T are now available and you can access these from the link below, all in one place.
The ERA License provides seamless access to television and radio recordings, offering a single point of clearance for the rights needed to create and use authentic media resources in your classroom. With ERA’s free video streaming platform, licensed institutions can explore a rich library of curriculum-mapped TV and radio clips tailored to GCSE, AS, and A-level teaching. To access this free resource registration is required - but is quick and simple. State schools in England are licensed under a central agreement with the DfE and the vast majority of independent schools also hold a current ERA License.

Championing design excellence, the Design Council UK drives innovation and sustainable growth through strategic design. By fostering collaboration across sectors, it aims to create a more inclusive world through design. Teachers can access a wealth of resources, including guides on inclusive design, and tools for running design workshops.
A free, annual design challenge for students in years 9, 10 and 11. Registrations are open for schools to enter the competition. From June, visit the display to discover the top ten shortlisted projects alongside the winner idea.
