Exam Support - Component 1
To help your learners prepare for their exams and support their revision, take advantage of the resources we offer. Visit the Course Materials section on the qualification page to access Sample Assessment Materials and Past Papers. These comprehensive papers will familiarize you with the exam format and the types of questions your students will encounter.
You can also utilise examWizard.
Within examWizard, you can find past papers and create customized topic tests using questions from previous exams. All questions from the Sample Assessment Materials (SAM), Additional Sample Assessment Materials (AdSAM), and past papers are added to examWizard after each series. This allows you to filter and target questions based on specific content areas. Explore it below.

Key Dates and Entry Deadline
Latest updates on Level 3 qualification funding in England
On 12 December 2024, the DfE published the outcomes of the Review of Qualifications Reform at Level 3 in England. This confirms which qualifications will be funded for 16–19 learners in England for the academic years 2025/26 and 2026/27.

It has been confirmed that BTEC Level 3 Nationals in Construction & the Built Environment suite of qualification will be defunded from August 2025.
The newly developed BTEC Nationals (AAQ) in Construction for first teaching in September 2025 will be funded.

Are you in Wales or Northern Ireland?
The post-16 Level 3 vocational qualification reforms affect England only and do not affect Wales and Northern Ireland.

Sample resources for BTEC Nationals in Construction (AAQ)
Our published resources to support the new BTEC Nationals 2025 are being carefully developed to help you deliver engaging teaching, and to prepare your students for assessment.
We’re designing the resources as fully integrated packages, with all resources complementing and building on the others. You will be able use them in various ways, to suit your teaching style, and when used together they’ll provide the biggest time saving and teaching support benefits.
The main teaching resources will be published in April and May 2025, in good time for first teaching in September 2025.

You can access the Administrative Support Guides for the task based ESP and OS external assessments from below. These documents are put together to help you with the administration of these external assessments. Please familiarise yourself with these, alongside the information on the task papers.
