Equation List for International GCSE Physics and Science Double Award

We can confirm the following

The International GCSE (9-1) Physics and International GCSE (9-1) Science Double Award Physics Equation List will be retained in the November 2023 examination series for components 4PH1/1P and 4PH1/2P and 4SD0/1P.

This means that students will have access to an Equation List in the exam room showing all relevant equations. The Equation List will be available as an additional insert inside the exam paper, and it will be the same as the one provided to students in the Summer 2023 examination series.

The Equation List may also be downloaded from the qualification pages and shared with students so they can familiarise themselves with it ahead of the exams. Centres will need to download the Summer 2023 version for this purpose - only the date on the front cover will change to reflect the November 2023 exam series.

You can access the equation list from the 2023 support sections of the qualification pages.

As in Summer 2023, the Equation List will be divided into two parts. The first list provides the equations that may be required for International GCSE Physics (4PH1) and International GCSE Science Double Award (4SD0) papers. The second list has additional equations that may be required for International GCSE Physics Paper 2 (4PH1/2P).
