Employability qualifications are being redeveloped
We are changing the employability qualification offer to improve it for the future.
These changes are significant, and include both:
- new, updated qualifications
- the withdrawal of a number of existing qualifications.
It is important that you familiarise yourself with these changes if you are going to be delivering WorkSkills or offer employability qualifications from 1 September 2016.
New, updated WorkSkills qualifications
New, updated WorkSkills qualifications with different qualification accreditation numbers will be available.
Existing WorkSkills qualifications
The existing WorkSkills qualifications and some of the wider suite will be withdrawn on 31 August 2016 and therefore no longer available to centres.
The intention is to extend a small number of existing one-unit standalone awards in the wider WorkSkills suite. These qualifications are currently going through the internal extension process, and we expect to confirm this by the end of March.
Further information for centres
Free webinars are being offered in March to further explain the changes and provide an opportunity to ask questions.
