T Level November 2020 Update
Welcome to your November E-Bulletin.
Firstly, thank you to those 2020 Providers who attended our webinars on 2021 Summer Assessment Adaptations and completed our feedback survey. Our proposed adaptation suggestions and your feedback have been forwarded to the Institute, Ofqual and the DfE. We are currently working with the Institute, Ofqual and the DfE as to how these will be taken forward. We totally understand we are all in challenging times and that you need to know how assessments could be impacted next summer; we will keep you informed of work in progress and communicate to you as soon as possible as to the outcome.
Wave 1 T Level Contracts
There are several support events taking place this month. Our Getting to Know the Specification events are this week, please don’t worry if you’re not able to attend as all our events are recorded and accessible via our Engagement Hub. Plus, these events will run again later in the academic year.
For 2020 Providers we suggest you attend the following Getting Ready to Assess events for the Core Component:
Construction
- Getting Ready to Assess: The Core Exams – November 16, 10:00
- Getting Ready to Assess: Employer Set Project – November 18, 10:00
Digital
These half-termly Q&A sessions with the Sector Manager and Subject Advisor will give you the opportunity to ask any question, discuss your experience with delivering the T Level and open the mic to you, the teacher.

We are in the process of uploading draft Delivery Guides for the Occupational Specialist Components to the website. Although they are in draft format, they will give you an idea as to how the materials will look, further amends are likely to be minor editorial and visual amends only.
Registrations have been open since 1 September; please note the standard registration window closed on the 1 November, with late registrations starting on the 2 November. A support video on how to make registrations and manage student details can be found on the Engagement Hub.
Wave 3 T Level Contracts
We are still seeking Expressions of Interest from Providers to join our Provider Validation Panel (PVP). This is one of the key parts of our development process – where we ask you to take part in the development and work with us to make sure the Technical Qualification is accessible for your students and manageable for you as a Provider.
To become a member, you must:
- be intending on delivering either the Accounting and/or Finance in September 2022
- be experienced in delivering Accounting and/or Finance qualifications/units
- be able to attend PVP meetings (these will be remote, via teams or zoom) to discuss content, assessment, manageability, resources etc.
