Changes to Edexcel Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Public Services

Our Edexcel Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Public Services – Operational Delivery (Uniformed) has been updated with effect from 1 March 2013.

The following former mandatory units are now optional and have been moved into Optional Group B for this qualification: 

  • T/601/3115 Participate in combat operations preparation
  • F/601/2761 Participate in adventurous activities.

The following new optional unit has also been added to Optional Group B:

  • H/504/4396 Preparation for maritime operations (Unit 14).

The credit value of the new qualification has been reduced from 54 to 50 credits.

These changes have been made at the request of HM Forces and in consultation with Skills for Justice, in order to allow greater flexibility for the learner. 

The Qualification Accreditation Number for the new qualification is 600/7938/1.

The new structure is as follows:

Group A mandatory units

Learners must complete all units within this group.

Learners must complete a minimum of eight credits from this group.
