Housing and facilities qualification extensions and withdrawals
With some of our work based learning qualifications in the housing and facilities sector due to expire during 2015, we've analysed uptake and decided to extend 5 qualifications and withdraw 2.
Neither of the qualifications for withdrawal is in the Apprenticeship.

New facilities qualification
We are delighted to announce that the following qualification has been accredited and is available for registration from 1 January 2015:
601/5379/9 Pearson BTEC Level 3 Certificate in Facilities Management
This is a direct replacement for qualification number 600/3877/9 of the same title, which expired for registration on 31 December 2014. The certification end date for 600/3877/9 is 31 December 2016.
The new qualification will be recognised as the technical certificate within the Advanced Apprenticeship for Facilities Management.
All of the units have been updated to reflect current practice. Learners must achieve 21 credits, including 10 credits from 4 mandatory units and 11 credits from a choice of 22 optional units.
