Supporting the Training Provider, Employer and FE College community during Coronavirus (COVID-19)
Pearson is committed to supporting the training provider, employer and FE College community through the recent challenges presented by COVID-19 and as a valued customer, we wanted to share an update on Pearson’s guiding principles and how we intend to support you as an organisation during this challenging time.
As you know, we have been closely following public health recommendations concerning the spread of this virus. We are working closely with governments and local public health authorities to ensure we are always able to act in the best interests of our colleagues and our customers.
Covid-19 updates
Alongside this work, we have decided to implement some company-wide principles that we are adopting to ensure we are preparing effectively and taking appropriate action for our centres, learners, colleagues and other stakeholders. These principles include advising colleagues to work from home in order to mitigate the risks to business continuity.
We wanted to let you know we are working closely with colleagues in Ofqual, the Department for Education (DfE) and the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) and are monitoring the situation closely. We want to ensure we can support you in the best way possible over the coming weeks and months. The learning and development community has not faced this level of disruption in generations, but unlike any time in the past, we are able to support you through a range of digital learning resources. We are also working swiftly to make new resources available as soon as possible. As soon as these become available we will be in direct contact with you.
Please rest assured that we are doing everything we can to ensure that we can best support you and your learners at this time.
We will be posting regular updates about Pearson BTEC online resources and news and Pearson Apprenticeships online resources and news. In the meantime, If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact our work-based learning support team.
