BTEC International and England reform
We are aware of your questions regarding the recent Level 3 review in England. Over the last year, the government in England conducted a review and consultation of Level 3 vocational qualifications, including BTEC.
The government is implementing policy following a review into the future of academic and vocational qualifications (including T level, A level and BTEC qualifications), which could be offered to young people at 16+ in England. You may be aware of recent updates from the government regarding the withdrawal of funding from a limited number of qualifications, including some BTECs.
We continue to proactively work with the government on this matter in relation to our operation in England. Please rest assured that there is no impact on BTEC international qualifications that are and will continue to be available.
In addition, we are in continuous dialogue with key national and international stakeholders including governments, employers and universities worldwide, to demonstrate the quality and standards of International BTEC to continue expanding their recognition.
You can continue to teach BTEC international qualifications with confidence.
