Pearson and British Council sign partnership to offer UK and International qualifications to students abroad
Pearson, the world’s leading education company, has today (24 March 2016) signed a new global agreement with the British Council, to formalise its working relationship around the world and set the groundwork for future growth together in both new and existing markets.
The agreement was marked officially in a signing ceremony with Andy Moss, Senior Vice President at Pearson, and Sir Ciaran Devane, Chief Executive of the British Council on 24 March 2016.
The British Council currently offers and delivers Pearson’s leading suite of International GCSE and A level qualifications to learners, both private candidates and in schools, across a number of countries, including Malaysia, Spain, Serbia, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Zambia, Cyprus, Qatar and many more. Pearson’s international qualifications provide learners with rigorous, world class qualifications which empower learners to fulfil their potential and gain access to the world’s leading universities all over the world and pursue the career of their choice.
The British Council administers these qualifications and provides support for those taking them, while Pearson designs the qualifications, creates the assessments and marks the final work, assuring this meets the required standards for the qualification in question.
Through this new global agreement, Pearson and the British Council are further strengthening their partnership in certain countries, ensuring the very best experience for learners seeking world class UK qualifications that enable progression to higher education and employment.
