The guide (PDF, 1,211KB) included proposed dates for centre submission of Centre Assessment Grades for internally assessed units and centre submission of a qualification-level rank order. After listening to your feedback and concerns around the timelines, we have now extended the dates for the submission of Centre Assessment Grades and the qualification-level rank order. We are now requesting:

  • Centre submission of Centre Assessment Grades for internally assessed units to be completed by Friday 5 June and
  • Centre submission of qualification rank order by Friday 19 June

We are committed to working collaboratively with you and supporting you through the process to ensure it is manageable and deliverable. We know many of you will have a number of completed unit grades that you can submit now or have already submitted. Receiving the unit data as soon as possible will enable us to commence the statistical standardisation and quality checks that need to be completed before results can be issued. As the main calculation process is being driven by the unit data, we are requesting this data first and the rank order data subsequently.

Unit grades should be provided in the normal way. Qualification-level rank order data will be collected via a new platform which will enable you to do this easily and efficiently. We will be publishing a detailed explanation of the process shortly, in order that you know exactly what you will need to do.

I also wanted to take this opportunity to draw your attention to some additional guidance released by Ofqual yesterday (PDF, 368 KB) , which includes confirmation that their consultation response will be issued on 22 May. Whilst we have marked all of our guidance during this time as ‘proposed’ in recognition of the consultation, I’d like to reassure you that we have been working closely with Ofqual and we would not expect for any of our issued guidance to change materially.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

Thank you for your patience during this unprecedented time. We will continue to keep you updated.

Best wishes,

Cindy Rampersaud
