Update on Ofquals GCSE Maths research
Ofqual will announce the results of their research into GCSE Maths in mid-May.
Ofqual have announced, on Thursday 30 April 2015, that they are currently drawing together the findings of the research programme into the level of demand of the SAMs in GCSE Mathematics. Ofqual began this research three months ago, and will announce any actions in mid-May. See the announcement from Ofqual
All the awarding bodies have agreed not to publish any further assessment materials until Ofqual reach their final conclusions. The content of the specification won’t change, though, so you can continue teaching or preparing to teach.
As soon as the research results are published by Ofqual, we will promptly ensure that any further assessment materials we publish will reflect any changes.
