Accreditation update for Edexcel GCSE 2016 French, German and Spanish
We've postponed some of our summer launch events due to a delay in accreditation of these qualifications.
As you may be aware, our GCSE specifications and linked sample assessment materials for French, German and Spanish were submitted to Ofqual in April 2015. We've recently received feedback from Ofqual and, like other awarding organisations, we have not been accredited on this occasion.
Although we can't refer to the feedback provided, we'd like to reassure you that we're now busy refining our new 2016 specification and sample assessment materials for resubmission later this summer, when revised versions will also be published on our website.
Regrettably, as a result of some of the changes, we've had to postpone certain launch events we'd previously scheduled for this month until later in the summer or next term.
