New entry codes for GCSE English and GCSE English Language

We have changed the entry codes for GCSE English and English Language, following the removal of marks for speaking and listening.
We made the changes following the November 2013 exam series.
The new codes are:
GCSE English
- 5EH01: English Today (reading and writing controlled assessment)
- 5EH2F/H: The Writer's Craft (exam)
- 5EH3A: Creative English (reading and writing controlled assessment)
- 5EH3B: Speaking and Listening
- 2EH01: qualification cash-in code
GCSE English Language
- 5EH01: English Today (reading and writing controlled assessment)
- 5EN2F/H: The Writer's Voice (exam)
- 5EN3A: Spoken Language (reading and writing controlled assessment)
- 5EH3B: Speaking and Listening
- 2EN01: qualification cash-in code
Please note that codes 5EH03 and 5EN03 no longer exist.
