GCE Drama and Theatre and GCSE Drama qualifications will be reformed, with first teaching in September 2016.
The subject criteria and content of these qualifications are being reformed by The Department of Education, Ofqual, the awarding organisations offering these qualifications (Pearson, AQA, OCR and WJEC) and key stakeholders. This is in order to ensure the qualifications provide a strong foundation for further academic and vocational study (GCSE) and prepare students for higher education (A and AS levels).
It is anticipated that the public consultation will begin in September 2014.
