On 16 January 2015, the DfE confirmed that only the reformed GCSEs will count in performance tables from summer 2017.
This announcement means that current arrangements for recognising level 1/level 2 Certificates will end with the introduction of reformed GCSEs, with last recognition in summer 2016.
