The Education Funding Agency (EFA) is introducing the large programme uplift for academic year 2016 to 2017, and beyond.
The uplift applies to large TechBacc programmes which include:
- a qualification in the tech level performance table category
- a level 3 maths qualification
- an Extended Project qualification.
Students can attract a 10% or 20% uplift depending on the size of the tech level within the TechBacc.
EFA will first pay the large programme uplift in allocations for the academic year 2016 to 2017 academic year, but it will be based on attainment data from 2013 to 2014.
The criteria for the uplift includes student attainment, hence the three year lag.
