Introduction to the Role of the Professional Taxi and Private Hire Driver: Change in process for claiming unit 6
Due to the practical observation requirements of unit 6, we've introduced a 'learner level' release to confirm that a learner has completed the unit.
The BTEC Specialist qualification, Introduction to the Role of the Professional Taxi and Private Hire Driver, will continue to be assessed through an onscreen multiple choice test. Learning Outcomes 5 and 6 of unit 6 will continue to be internally assessed via Observation Record and will require annual sampling by a Pearson Standards Verifier. However, in order to certificate, centres will now need to confirm on Edexcel Online that the learner has passed unit 6.
