New BTEC Higher Nationals in Digital Technologies
In 2020, we partnered with the South Central Institute of Technology to co-design BTEC Higher Nationals in Digital Technologies to meet current needs of their employers and students, which have been impacted by the pandemic.
The qualifications provide the core skills required for a range of careers, including cyber security, software development, data analytics, networking, animation, software testing, business analysis and change management.
Pearson shares the Government's ambition for IoTs to drive the required growth for higher-level technical education, providing employers with a skilled workforce and students with a clear line of sight to highly skilled employment.
We know that there are skills gaps at levels 4 and 5 which need to be met to ensure that national productivity is maintained and driven. We were delighted to work with the South Central Institute of Technology to design these qualifications, alongside their employer partners.
The development of this qualification has been truly collaborative, resulting in innovative Higher National qualifications, designed to meet employer needs.
