These qualifications will continue to be supported for currently registered learners through to final certification.

New qualifications from 2027

From September 2027, Pearson will offer the Skills for Life and Work qualifications, developed specifically for Wales.
These qualifications:

  • are available from Entry Level 1 to Level 2
  • support learners aged 14–16
  • focus on developing key life, personal and employability skills
  • provide flexible, unit-based pathways aligned to the Curriculum for Wales

Centres currently delivering Leadership Through Sport and Home Cooking Skills will find opportunities to continue developing many of the same valuable skills through the new qualifications.
