New Teaching and Learning Content
This month we have lots of new teaching and learning content on the website. We have made a conscious effort to focus on our lower ability learners this month. You will therefore find lots of teaching goodies on our BTEC Level 1 Pre Vocational Study page.

In this event our trainer Claire will introduce you to the ever-popular BTEC Home cooking Skills and talk through how to deliver this effectively including an opportunity for Q and A time permitting.

This engaging training session explores how Pearson’s WorkSkills and Personal Growth & Wellbeing qualifications equip learners of all ages with the essential skills, confidence and resilience needed to succeed in modern life and work.

Getting Assessment Right: Assessing BTEC Level 1 Intro qualifications effectively in your classroom
This session is aimed at teachers who are currently teaching or internally verifying the BTEC Level 1 Introductory qualification (17 pathways). Our trainer Katie will talk you through how to ensure your assessment is accurate in the classroom.

Are you a Welsh centre?
Then we have good news. We have now been approved by Qualification Wales to offer the Skills for Life and Work qualification to 14–16-Year-Old learners in Wales!
We will shortly be launching our draft specification on our webpages, but in the meantime, you can find out more about our qualification below:
Explore Pearson Skills for Life and Work
This qualification will replace Level 1 Intro, Entry Level, BTEC Workskills and Personal Growth and Wellbeing for 14–16-Year-olds in Wales and we have lots of exciting support lined to up help you deliver this qualification.
Getting ready to teach the Pearson Skills for Life and Work qualification in Wales
This session is aimed at teachers of 14–16-year-olds in Wales only preparing to deliver the Pearson Skills for Life and Work qualifications from September 2027 and will cover everything you need to know to be able to deliver and offer this in your centre.
