Hi and welcome to the second addition of the below level 2 including Level 1 Intro, Entry Level, BTEC Workskills and BTEC Personal Growth and Wellbeing.
We have had some tough weather the last few weeks, so we hope you have managed to keep nice and warm.
Training Events
We are currently planning our events for this calendar year for Entry, Level 1 and Workskills/Personal Growth and Wellbeing.
Please look out for these on our training booking page and sign up for the ones you are interested in. Once they are live on our website, we will of course update you.
New resources
We are pleased to let you know that we have produced some new learning activity presentations in the following Level 1 Intro subjects: Sport, Performing Arts and Public Services.
To find these please visit the main qualification page of the subject you are interested in and select teaching and learning.
Accessing padlocked resources
We are receiving quite a few emails about how to access padlocked resources for our Level 1 teaching and learning resources. If you are teaching any of our BTEC qualifications, you can easily gain access to these.
To do this you need to ask your Exams Officer to create you a basic access log in on Edexcel online. Once this is done you will be able to sign in with a username and password. It will also ask you to set up MFA.

Update on the reform
Some of you might be aware the Level 1/Entry and PSHCE/Employability spaces were scheduled for reform in 2027.
Due to the Labour Governments CAR review these have been paused for development. We do not currently know what will happen next with these or the intended year. Please note you can teach your existing BTEC Level 1/Entry and Personal Growth and Wellbeing/Workskills with confidence until at least 2027.
This will help you to plan your curriculums with confidence. The DfE have released a brief statement re the PSHCE reforms which we have shared with you below:
‘The reforms to PSE were initiated under the previous government. We will not be responding to the consultation and will not take forward any reform of PSE while the CAR is underway.’
