Erratum notice for Unit 2: Art and Design: Discovering 3 Dimensions

Please note a minor change to the specifications for our Entry Level 3 and Level 1 Art and Design qualifications.

This change affects the following qualifications:

  • Pearson Entry Award in Art and Design (Entry 3) (QCF) (500/6353/4)
  • Pearson Level 1 Award in Art and Design (QCF) (500/6529/4)
  • Pearson Level 1 Certificate in Art and Design (QCF) (500/6540/3)
  • Pearson Level 1 Diploma in Art and Design (QCF) (500/6607/9).

On page 40 of the specification, Unit 2: Art and Design: Discovering 3 Dimensions (H/502/3886), the assessment guidance for this unit reads:

"For assessment criterion 2.1, learners will explore more than two different 2D materials, techniques and processes, showing some control and understanding."

This should state:

"For assessment criterion 2.1, learners will explore more than two different 3D materials, techniques and processes, showing some control and understanding."

This may be within one final piece of work, or across several pieces experimenting in different materials and techniques.
