Government to launch Apprenticeships campaign
The Government is launching a national campaign to promote Apprenticeships to young people and employers.
Launching on 20 August, the campaign will show young people and their parents that Apprenticeships can now be an equal choice to university at 18 by showcasing the variety and quality of Apprenticeships on offer.
The campaign features real apprentices in varied sectors providing their own thoughts and updates on their experiences. It will appear on TV, 'out of home' advertising and on digital channels, supported by widespread PR activity.
We would love it if your company could be involved in supporting the campaign by asking your apprentices to supply a ‘selfie’ showing them in their place of work, including their company logo somewhere in the photo.
The selfies will be added to a Pinterest map which will feature apprentice selfies from all over the UK, demonstrating the huge variety of Apprenticeships available and showcasing the amazing opportunity that companies are offering to young people.
If an apprentice in your organisation would like to be involved, please ask them to email their selfie, labelled with their full name, age, Apprenticeship level, role and company and why they love working there to ApprenticeshipsEngine@theenginegroup.com.
Tweet your support for Apprenticeships on Launch Day, 20 August, using the hashtag #getingofar.
