First Aid unit within Health and Social Care and Health qualifications
An optional First Aid unit included in our Health and Health and Social Care qualifications expired on 30 June 2013.
The unit number for Emergency First Aid Skills is Y/600/1250.
This unit will not be replaced in the Health and Social Care qualifications. From 1 July 2013, learners will not be able to register for the Emergency First Aid Skills unit within the following qualifications:

Please note that although the replacement unit is very similar, it does not qualify learners to be emergency first aiders at work. Learners who need to be recognised as first aiders are advised to undertake a recognised programme such as Emergency First Aid or First Aid at Work.
