Government launches consultation in response to Richard Review
Following the government’s published response to the Richard Review, we welcome the author, Doug Richard, as a speaker at our Spotlight on Skills event.
The document, The Future of Apprenticeships in England: Next Steps from the Richard Review, comes four months after Doug Richard’s independent review of apprenticeships, and asks 24 questions.
The government 'plan to redefine apprenticeships’ will put employers in the driving seat, and see employers putting recognised and meaningful industry standards at the heart of every apprenticeship. The government wants to see apprenticeships targeted at a skilled job and focused on the outcome - what the apprentice should know and be able to do at the end of their programme.
Apprenticeships, and the way they're delivered, are set to change dramatically. Read the full report here.
