On 1 January 2015, Pearson Work Based Learning and Colleges will be launching a suite of qualifications that replace the above provision. The new offer will include a range of new stand-alone BTEC knowledge qualifications that will align closely to the themes within the new Apprenticeship-combined qualification to provide learners with better progression opportunities both to and from Apprenticeship programmes.
The new Pearson BTEC knowledge qualifications can also be delivered as independent learning programmes within Traineeships and/or as continued professional development and will be assessed by internal centre devised assessments. Onscreen tests will not be available for these qualifications.
Details about the new qualifications, including structures and rules of combination, will be released shortly.
