🎬 New GCSE English language 2.0 videos for students
Let’s kick things off with something fresh! Post-16 English
expert Hollie Barnes-Lomax has launched a brilliant new series of
student-facing videos. These aren’t your typical “question-by-question” guides.
Instead, they break down the essential skills for GCSE English Language 2.0,
giving learners clear explanations, model responses, and practical strategies
to boost their confidence and results.
In the first of a 5-part series sharing the outcomes of our ‘Let’s Talk English’ research, find out about where we are with oracy in English and the changes teachers and students would like to see.

From the June 2026 exam series, we’ll be asking you to submit a slightly larger sample size for moderation for International GCSE, A level and Entry Level Certificate qualifications. There is no change to the sample size for the Spoken Language Endorsement for GCSE and Int GCSE English Language.
This change is designed to make moderation smoother and reduce the need for additional sample requests later in the year.

📝 Submit your entry by 17 April 2026.
This competition has it all:
👥 Write as a group (hello, teamwork and cohesion!)
🎩Boost your students’ cultural capital with the powerful social class theme
🏆Amazing prizes: Q&A with Willy Russell & Rebecca Hillman, a workshop with Stage-Ed, and a class set of the new ‘Blood Brothers’ edition!
