November 2014 update

Logistics 19+ funding update

Over the past few months we've been busy appealing the SFA’s decision not to fund some of our logistics qualifications for 19+ learners. We are pleased to say that we've had some great success with this and the following qualifications all remain funded for the 2014/15 and 2015/16 academic years:

• Pearson Edexcel Level 1 Award in Warehousing and Storage (QCF) (600/2089/1)
• Pearson Edexcel Level 1 Certificate in Warehousing and Storage (QCF) (600/1946/3)
• Pearson BTEC Level 2 Certificate in Warehousing and Storage Principles (QCF) (500/7707/7)
• Pearson Edexcel Level 2 Certificate in International Trade and Logistics Operations (QCF) (600/2714/9)
• Pearson EDI Level 1 Award in Warehousing and Storage (QCF) (501/0995/9).

Qualification extensions

The following qualifications have been extended with these new review dates:

• 500/9726/X - Pearson Edexcel Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Travel Services (QCF) – Review date: 31 January 2017
• 500/9849/4 - Pearson Edexcel Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Travel Services (QCF) – Review date: 31 January 2017
• 500/9725/8 - Pearson BTEC Level 2 Certificate in Travel Services (QCF) – Review date: 30 June 2017
• 500/9727/1 - Pearson BTEC Level 3 Certificate in Travel Services (QCF) – Review date: 30 June 2017
• 501/0989/3 - Pearson Edexcel Level 2 Diploma in Aviation Operations on the Ground (QCF) – Review date: 31 January 2017
• 501/0488/3 - Pearson BTEC Level 2 Certificate in Aviation Operations on the Ground (Knowledge) (QCF) – Review date: 30 June 2017
• 501/0990/X - Pearson Edexcel Level 3 Diploma in Aviation Operations on the Ground (QCF) – Review date: 31 January 2017
• 500/9297/2 - Pearson BTEC Level 2 Award in Knowledge for a Professional Bus or Coach Driver (QCF) – Review date: 30 June 2017
• 501/0991/1 - Pearson Edexcel Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Passenger Carrying Vehicle Driving (Bus and Coach) (QCF) – Review date: 30 June 2017
• 600/9601/9 - Pearson Edexcel Level 2 Certificate in Logistics Support Operations (QCF) – Review date: 31 December 2017.

Qualification withdrawals

We will be withdrawing a number of the Pearson Edexcel qualifications that fall within the Ofqual criteria for low-use or unused qualifications. The following qualifications will be withdrawn at their current review date:

• 500/7149/X - Pearson Edexcel Level 1 Award in Commercial Moving (QCF) – Operational end date: 31 December 2014
• 500/7428/3 - Pearson Edexcel Level 2 Certificate in Commercial Moving (QCF) – Operational end date: 31 December 2014
• 500/8741/1 - Pearson Edexcel Level 3 Diploma in Commercial Moving (QCF) – Operational end date: 31 August 2014
• 501/0489/5 - Pearson Edexcel Level 2 Certificate for Cabin Crew (QCF) - Operational end date: 31 December 2014
• 501/0880/3 - Pearson Edexcel Level 3 Certificate for Senior Cabin Crew (QCF) - Operational end date: 31 December 2014.
