SASE Frameworks withdrawal
The DfE announced a list of SASE Frameworks which are being considered for withdrawal for new starts from 1 April 2018. These include:
- Intermediate and Advanced Apprenticeship in Driving Goods Vehicles
- Intermediate and Advanced Apprenticeship in Logistics Operations
- Intermediate Apprenticeship in Supply Chain Management
- Intermediate and Advanced Apprenticeship in Traffic Office
- Intermediate and Advanced Apprenticeship in Warehousing and Storage
- Intermediate and Advanced Apprenticeship in Bus and Coach Engineering and Maintenance
- Intermediate Apprenticeship in Passenger Carrying Vehicle Driving (Bus and Coach)
- Intermediate and Advanced Apprenticeship in Travel Services
The government has already announced the withdrawal of the Intermediate and Advanced Apprenticeship in Aviation Operations on the Ground on 1 October 2017.
Qualification Extensions
The following qualifications have been extended to 31 December 2017:
Pearson BTEC Level 2 Award in Knowledge for a Professional Bus or Coach Driver | 500/9297/2 |
Pearson Edexcel Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Passenger Carrying Vehicle Driving (Bus and Coach) (QCF) | 501/0991/1 |
Pearson BTEC Level 2 Certificate in Introduction to the Role of the Professional Taxi and Private Hire Driver (QCF) | 600/0049/1 |
Pearson Edexcel Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Road Passenger Vehicle Driving (Taxi and Private Hire) (QCF) | 600/0326/1 |
